My dream job wasn’t it

Two years ago, I applied for this homebased job who finally offered me a salary I never imagined I could get. I know I am good. But well you know… I am not that good… really (naman! haha) :p So, I initially grabbed it. And was so thankful. But then, working at home with a bulinggit is quite a challenge. I know I could excel in that work. The only problem was I was under surveillance. Haha! I have a clock that monitors me if I am working or not.  Once I switch to Facebook something will pop on my screen and asking me “Are you working on this project?” or “It seems like you are idle, something we can do to help?” Haha No offense, this system seems to know how to make the job done.  But in the creative world that’s not how it works. Plus! A bulinnggit that makes kulit while you’re working? It won’t work. Well, atleast for me. And so, after a week, I resigned.

So, I checked my emails again and finally gave in to an email I keep setting aside. I did the exam, and waited for a few days then landed an interview with the boss.  She’s Chinese and very charming. Like the usual interviews she was very professional. The next day, I got an email.  I got an offer better than the one I turned down. And finally, I will be working for a publishing company! I will be designing my own magazines!!! Imagine how thrilled I was. I was soooooo happy! I was sooooo proud!!! At naregular agad ako in a month! Hihi And got the best benefits ever! At walang surveillance. Time in time out lang. haha

I stayed with the company for a year and it was the most satisfying job ever. A year? yes. Too bad, that was the year when America was having a financial ‘crisis’. The company had to let go all the outsourced designers.  But my boss, wasn’t so happy letting me go. She had to put me somewhere I can be of reach. She referred me to her good friend who is a company’s client.

I worked for the friend for a month. And they decided to hire me full time. Yehesss haha Iba talaga! I have been with the company now for 18 months now. I have the best boss! And it has been awesome since.

So, bakit ko nga ba pinost ito? Kahit ilang kumpanya man ang mag turn down sayo, sounds cliché but something better will always come.  You would never know what your dreams really are until you are living the dream.  Just keep trying. And never lose hope applying. Dahil sa dami ng inapplayan mo… for sure may isa diyang maloloko tayo! Este maniniwala at bibigyan tayo ng chance. :p

No holiday. For me.

Today is another mark in the Philippine History where Pope Francis will be in Manila from January 15 to 19, 2015.  Everyone is invited to celebrate this experience with the Pope. Kahit sa TV lang.

So, before you go out there and start enjoying your vacation, please pray for Pope’s safety and wonderful experience with the Filipinos.

So, pano? Work muna ako!

Baguio with my man

Biglaang trip to Baguio for 3 days. Chance passenger. Long walks. Cold weather. Sweet hugs. Yummy eats. Selfie overload. Perfect trip with the perfect guy. First out of town alone.   Fun! Fun!

They said, to best know a man is to travel with him.  I guess I was surprised of how calm and composed he was the whole trip.  While, I was like a baby ranting for not planning and losing temperature from the long waits and wrong decisions I made.

Honey? I promise to buy you a helmet this Christmas! Baka mauntog ka eh! Iwanan mo ako bigla haha Thanks my Honey Banana!

Girl pick-up

While Carlo and I are having dinner at my favorite Pepper Lunch!
He accidentally bit his tongue. So! I offered a number!
21!!! (It just slipped right off my tongue!) All giggly.
Then I counted… and smiled. And said in full conviction!

ME: U!
Carlo: U? (Wondering sino kakilala niyang U ang first letter ng name)
ME: U! Uu! Me!!!

Hahaha! Yun un eh!

Bohol Bohol

It was a full blast day tour in Bohol. We didn’t have much moolah so we ended up going there for a day. But a day was enough to see the pretty sites of what Bohol can offer. Wasn’t able to capture much photos because I was too busy enjoying the tour. But! But! Got everything on video! You can watch them all here! Hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed the trip! ^_^
